Celebrating What We Have Achieved

Celebrating What We Have Achieved

2020 has been an extremely difficult year for all. At the beginning of the year, we watched a horrific bushfire season devastate the lives of so many across the country. It is the Australian way to band together and lend a helping hand to our neighbours in times of crisis, but the burgeoning pandemic kept us apart and bushfire-affected communities were forced to recover on their own. Of course, separation from family and friends wasn’t the only terrible impact of COVID-19. As a country, we also dealt with the huge financial strain of shutting up shop for months, and the impact this had on hundreds of thousands of families and small businesses; we dealt with the mental health effects of living in a pandemic and having to explain to our kids why they can’t go and see their grandma; and most tragically of all, we dealt with the loss of loved ones from COVID-19, and there’s no doubt that this impact we will continue to feel for years to come.

Thanks to the many months that Victorians sacrificed in lockdown and the tireless work of our healthcare heroes, we have slowed the spread enough to return to (somewhat) normal life. All of the COVID tests, hand washing, physical distancing and lockdowns have paid off and now, we can begin the work of rebuilding our great state and getting it back to the amazing place that we choose to call our home. There’s a long road ahead of us, but for now, it is time to celebrate Victoria’s huge achievement and appreciate the things that we have missed so much: having a nice lunch out with friends, breathing in the fresh air on a walk, and being able to see the ones we love.

The farm is the perfect place to have that much needed catch up with friends or a delicious Christmas lunch with the family. Share some tapas and wine and celebrate the joy of Christmas, the hope of the new year and the love we have for our family and friends. You can now also enjoy a Mornington Peninsula Farm Picnic experience, including a picnic rug and basket, a bottle of wine and the chef’s selection of farm grown olives, dip, cheese, meat, fruit, nuts and bread to share. Our Farm Picnic for 2 is a great new option to experience the goodness of the farm in a safe, contact-free way.

Please note that we will be closed from 25th-28th December and the 1st January. We are open on all other days from 9am-5pm, bookings are essential.

We wish you all a safe and happy Christmas and all the best for the New Year.
